XM and MarketPro

Supported for account linking and the MarketPro cashback programme. This page covers what that means in practice, the XM specifics worth knowing before you size a trade, and what MarketPro deliberately does not have access to.

Short answer

Supported for account linking and the MarketPro cashback programme. MarketPro signals work with XM either way. A signal is a set of price levels, not a broker-specific order. MarketPro never connects to your XM account, never places orders and cannot see your balance.

Key takeaways

  • Account linking: supported in the app.
  • Cashback programme: supported.
  • Signals: work normally, as they do with any broker offering the instrument.
  • Account access: none. MarketPro has no API key, no passwords and no read or write access to your trading account.
  • Check your account type and entity. Both change contract size, cost and leverage.

What MarketPro supports for XM

Account linking, supported. You can submit a XM trading account in the app for review. Linking is optional: signals, the academy and the calculators all work without it.

Cashback, supported. XM has no change-of-partner process, so the cashback path for an existing XM client is a new sub-account. The app is explicit about this before you submit. Rates differ by subscription tier and are shown in the app, on the Earn Rebates screen, because they can change. See how cashback works.

Signals, always. A MarketPro signal names an instrument, a direction, an entry, a stop and three take-profit levels. None of that is broker-specific, so it places the same way on XM as anywhere else. Verify each level against your own chart first, since price feeds differ slightly between brokers.

XM specifics worth knowing

  • Micro and Standard accounts use different contract sizes. This matters more than it sounds: it changes the pip value, and therefore the position size for a given risk. Confirm which you hold before sizing anything from a signal.
  • Multiple regulated entities, so leverage and protections depend on which entity holds your account and where you reside.
  • No change-of-partner process. XM does not move partner attribution on an existing account. Joining the cashback programme with an existing XM relationship means opening a new sub-account rather than converting the one you have. This is XM policy, and the app's request form states it explicitly rather than letting you discover it later.

What to check on any broker, including this one

MarketPro does not publish broker reviews, spread tables or regulatory summaries, because those change per entity and per jurisdiction and we could not keep them accurate. What we can give you is the checklist:

  1. Which entity will hold your account, and what regulates it? Large brokers operate several entities. The one you are onboarded to depends on your residence, and it determines your leverage cap, whether client funds are segregated, and whether any compensation scheme applies. The brand name tells you none of this.
  2. What is the total cost per lot? Not the spread alone and not the commission alone. Add them. A "zero spread" account with a high commission can cost more than a standard account.
  3. What are the swap rates on what you trade? If you hold positions for days, overnight financing can exceed the spread several times over. It is published, and almost nobody checks it.
  4. What is the stop-out level? The margin level at which the broker starts closing your positions for you. Use the margin calculator to see how much adverse movement that leaves you.
  5. How are withdrawals handled? Methods, fees and typical processing time. This is where broker problems actually surface.
  6. What is the execution model? How orders fill during fast markets decides whether your stop is honoured near its level.
  7. Are Expert Advisors permitted? Nearly always yes on MetaTrader, but specific techniques such as latency arbitrage are frequently restricted. It is in the account agreement.

All of it is answerable from the broker's own website and account agreement in about twenty minutes.

What MarketPro does not have access to

Stated explicitly, because plenty of services in this category do something quite different.

MarketPro never connects to your trading account. No API key, no investor password, no read access, no write access. It cannot place, modify or close a trade, and it cannot see your balance or your positions. Every order is one you place yourself in your own platform.

Account linking submits an account number for review so it can be associated with your MarketPro account and, where applicable, the cashback programme. It grants no trading access of any kind.
