Spotting Divergence

Divergence occurs when price and a momentum indicator, such as RSI or MACD, move in different directions, and it is one of the more widely watched clues that a trend's underlying strength may be shifting. In regular bullish divergence, price makes a lower low while the indicator makes a higher low, hinting that selling pressure is weakening even as price still falls.
